Raids Launched to Capture Fugitives Escaped from Karachi Malir Jail

Karachi – In a significant development, law enforcement agencies have launched an intensive manhunt to recapture the prisoners who recently escaped from Malir Jail in Karachi. The daring jailbreak has raised serious concerns about the security infrastructure of one of the city’s largest and most secure prisons.

According to sources, multiple raids have been carried out across various parts of Karachi, including Malir, Korangi, and Lyari, in an attempt to trace the whereabouts of the fugitives. Intelligence agencies are also said to be involved, supporting local police and Rangers in tracking down the escapees.

The prisoners, whose names have not been officially disclosed, reportedly managed to flee the prison by exploiting a security lapse. Preliminary investigations suggest possible inside help, and a number of jail staff members have already been taken into custody for questioning.

Sindh Home Department has ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident, calling it a “serious breach” of protocol. Additional security has been deployed around all major prisons in the province as a precautionary measure.

Citizens have been urged to report any suspicious activity, and authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to ensure the swift arrest of the escaped prisoners. So far, no official confirmation has been made regarding the capture of any of the escapees.

This incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for prison reforms and tighter security measures in Pakistan’s correctional facilities.
